We work with the athlete to find the areas where we can assist the most and then we plan for them on an individual level. We know there is no "one size fits all" approach to development of athletes. We take the time to get it right. This same approach carries in all of the below offerings:
We love sports training. Delving into how the body moves to perform on the sporting field is a passion. We work with athletes to assess their movement and help them develop their skill weaknesses to make them better, or work on their strengths to make them weapons. Often in small group training sessions, this is one of our more popular offerings.
Athletes often love their sport and want to get better but neglect the amount of work you can do in a gym environment to improve. Doesn't matter the age, we factor in a love for movement and the gym in our sweat box facility that allows for small group sessions to develop. Whether you need to get stronger, move better, be less injury prone, or jump higher, we can help in the gym. This is popular with those that seem to like the gym, but want athletic development and not a generic program.
One of the things we do very different is our online performance program. The basis for everything we do is to make the whole athlete the priority to benefit development. Our online consultations allow for weekly catch ups and a fill-at-home spreadsheet that allows us to assess your week. We take a zoomed out view of sleep habits, mood, training, recovery and nutrition and look to improve habits to develop performance. This is incredibly popular with high performing athletes serious about taking the next step.
Our nutritionist can do online nutrition consultations with a means for performance as the priority. Our specialty here is with youth and junior athletes and helping them and their parents navigate the complexities around fuelling for performance as their young athletes develop. A periodic program of check ins, this is incredibly important for those that may not know how to walk the tight rope that is developing nutrition plans for their athletes.
Periodically, we run testing days for anyone that is interested in understanding their development. We run a range of physical tests to benchmark where the athlete is at. These include sprints, change of direction, jumps, 1.6km or 2km endurance runs, as well as set strength and conditioning testing in the gym. What we can test, we can improve. Keep your eyes open for the next testing dates.
Additional to all of this, we love taking photos of community sport and celebrating that. Our DSL Moments in Motion photos allow us to capture action shots of our community sports stars. Doesn't matter the age. All you need to do to get us to potentially come to a game of yours is get your club to email divergentsportandlifestyle@gmail.com and invite us to photograph your teams. We don't take reservations or bookings but if we can get there, we will and we will tag your club in the process. Get in contact and help us celebrate your community club / team.
